Benjamin Harris Brewster letters, 1882-1886.

One letter to Hon. Thomas Drummond, dated June 24, 1884, accepting Drummond's resignation as judge of the Seventh Circuit of the U.S.; one typed letter to Pres. Chester A. Arthur, dated July 2, 1884, conveying Drummond's resignation; and two letters to Charles R. Deacon, secretary of the Clover Club in Philadelphia, dated Dec. 18, 1882 and Jan. 8, 1886, declining invitations to join its members for dinner. The letters to Deacon, the earlier one typewritten, describe Brewster's health and events in his personal life.
